The secret to my weight loss success is doing what I want. I was super anal at the beginning of my fitness journey. I would eat the same thing over and over and do the same workouts daily like a robot. I lost weight but my weight loss increased after I educated myself in health and fitness. Some days the last place I want to be is the gym. I don’t make myself go. I have Lupus and can’t have a lot of sun exposure so I find other things that are fun to do. I go to dance classes like… or do an evening boot camp. I don’t force myself to do things that I don’t want. Now I’m not saying be lazy or waste time doing an easy breezy workout. I am saying don’t go to the gym if you are about to be a depressed zombie and use only two machines. Instead you should call up a friend and go for a walk/jog outside in the fresh air. I don’t want you to be unhappy while you’re on your fitness journey. Find what makes you happy. Find active activities that you love to do. I know some people that are crazy about cycling. I personally can’t do it all the time (those little seats..Ouch HaHa) but I do like to go to a fun cycling class when I’m trying to switch it up.
Do what you want! You don’t have to worry about what the next person is doing. Switch it up but stay active! Now some days you have to push past it and make it happen.
