Coconut water is disgusting to me. I have tried to like it. I am not going to lie to you. I really like to eat coconut but the second coconut water touches my tongue I cringe. I don’t want my honesty to stop you from trying it if you haven’t already. It is so worth trying especially because we are on our fitness journey and it helps burn fat. I’ve been thinking about making myself drink it because of the health benefits like I do with cranberry juice (Hate it. Ugh!) Worse case scenario I’ll continue to eat coconut.
Coconut water is naturally fat and cholesterol free. It is low in carbohydrates and sodium and has a lot of potassium. Hate bananas?..Cool, drink coconut water. Drinking coconut water is better than drinking a sports drink so give it a try the next time you’re about to hit the gym. If you totally hate the water it’s fine because we can still eat it! I love to eat coconut. I like dried coconut and I grab any protein bar that is low in sugar and has coconut in it. It is so good! Raw coconut helps with weight loss just like coconut water. You can get fiber from raw coconut and it helps boost the immune system. Coconut is perfect for me because it can help with my Lupus. Lupus weakens my immune system and damages my skin and hair. Raw coconut can strengthen my immune system and coconut oil can improve my hair. Thank God for coconut, right! Coconut is said to help people with Diabetes and Alzheimer’s too.
The awesome thing about coconut is that it will help you even if you don’t like it. Unlike me..HaHa. Oh..I’m the only one that’s not Mother Teresa? Ok. HaHa. Anyhoo, don’t eat or drink coconut if you can’t stand it. I know people who hate it. Instead you can use coconut oil for your hair and skin. I use a coconut oil body wash and it is amazing. This is my first time trying it and it does wonders for my skin. This may be random but coconut water is good for pregnant women. Drink it in moderation ladies! Coconut water helps with morning sickness and with other preggo problems. Moral of the story coconut kicks ass!..Clearly. We all need a little coco in our life so if you haven’t tried it give it a try!
Tip: Use coconut oil spray when you’re cooking. It is super healthy and has no taste!
