The Low-Carb Lifestyle!

I am always on a mission to do better and look better. I am willing to try new things to see what works for me. The goal is to be happy and healthy. I am not down for being miserable. I became a vegan after 12 Days A Vegan!  I intended on being pescatarian again after the vegan challenge but I really liked the way I looked and felt. I miss cheese sometimes. Vegan cheese taste good but there’s nothing like real cheese. I can live without cheese but I can’t go without carbs. There are many people that I admire in the fitness industry and I pay close attention to what they eat. We make our plates the same minus a few things here and there. I freaking love carbs man. My fitness heroes eat complex carbs and portion control. I have no problem eating complex carbs in small amounts with my meals. My carb control problem comes when it’s snack time. Who the hell wants to eat just 12 ½ almonds?  I’ll admit it… my carb control might be a little off. I want to start making an effort to be stricter with the portion size and the times that I eat carbs. There is no need to completely eliminate carbs because complex carbs gives us energy. If we eat carbs earlier in the day we can burn it off instead of eating them at night and sitting/sleeping on them. I don’t want to do a low-carb diet. I don’t diet. Diets like The Ketogenic Diet are really strict and eliminate almost everything to put the body into fat-burning mode quicker. Yea, that’s not my life. I rather live a low-carb lifestyle. I would still get the low-carb diet benefits like the reduction of abdominal fat but maybe not as quickly. The fat won’t come back like it would if I was dieting so I’m cool with that.
